2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR ENROLLMENT OPENS JANUARY 27TH
34 weeks of exploring Music. Dance. Theatre. Art. Outdoor Education. STEM. Creativity. Collaboration.
34 weeks of discovering World Cultures through Art and Dance. Lego Robotics. STEM.
Using a student centered approach young artists will be introduced to a variety of artistic techniques, tools/materials and artists through art experimentation. Students will create original works of art while also recognizing the impact of art in our daily lives and in society. Students will learn problem solving, collaboration, and critical thinking while developing self-confidence and having fun.
All students will:
-Create works of visual art that demonstrate increasing levels of mastery in skills and art techniques.
-Persist in the creative process and innovate from failure
-Allow imagination and curiosity to guide inquiry and research
-Practice critical and analytical skills by using academic language to discuss works of art and visual culture.
-See oneself as a creator of visual art
Semester 1 August 28-December 11
K-2 Semester 1 Visual Arts-Elements* of Art/Art as Self-Expression
*Elements could include: color theory, shape, texture, perspective, pattern, contrast, composition
3-5 Semester 1 Visual Arts- Elements of Art and Design/ Movements** in Art
**Movements could include: Expressionism, Surrealism, Modern Art, Pop Art
Semester 2 January 8-June 10

3-5 Semester 2 Visual Arts- Elements of Art/Art as Self-Expression
*Classes meet on Mondays from 9am-4pm
